Thomas NOEL interview, founder and leader of AMARIS S.A

"Following the implementation of our international clients and propose ambitious projects to our consultants”
Logo_Amaris.JPG AMARIS is a management consulting, systems and Information, and engineering Swiss group.

As stated with conviction one of its founders, Thomas NOËL, the objective of the group was twofold: "to be able to follow our clients in different locations, and propose ambitious projects to our consultants”.

Good news for AMARIS clients of 17 branches spread over 10 countries, but also for future consultants (have a look to the presentation of AMARIS in "IT Companies").

A company we like, which doesn’t hesitate to export European expertise beyond its borders.

Note, before continuing with Thomas NOEL interview, the reactivity of the Press Department of AMARIS and Celine DANGELSER in particular, which could keep us regularly informed, through the press releases published on Doolit, events that punctuate the life of this company definitely very attractive.

> Doolit - When was founded AMARIS , and can you sum up his offer?

Thomas NOEL
- AMARIS was fonded in the end of 2006 for an operational business launch in January 2007.

Our business: because of our consultants’ intervention, to help our customers optimize their performance by acting on one of three levers: the information systems, operational processes or production facilities.

> Doolit - How is your company structured?

Thomas NOEL
- Our headquarters is located in Geneva, Switzerland. We operate in 10 countries through 17 subsidiaries or locations.

Each branch is composed of business-unit. There are teams of engineers involved in one or more Group business. The business unit is led by a Manager, which combines the commercial responsibilities, recruitment and human resources.

Each affiliate is operationally independent, but enjoys the support of the Group for the transverse sped: Finance / Accounting, Communications / Marketing, Training Managers, Recruitment through our platform in Barcelona.

Each location also benefits from the operational support of the Group: coaching executives, training managers, feedback, etc.

Today, the AMARIS Group has just over 250 employees. We aim to recruit 200 people in 2010. We expect a number of 800 employees in 2012.

> Doolit - Who are your clients?

Thomas NOEL
- Our clientele is mainly composed of large multinational Industry and Services, but also international organizations, NGOs, or national government agencies.

> Doolit - What your global presence can be a benefit for your clients?

Thomas NOEL
- Our initial value for these clients is our ability to follow them in their various locations.

Then locally, we are able, thanks to the autonomy that we left to our subsidiaries, to adapt to local situations.

Indeed, each subsidiary is headed by men and women who perfect know economic and cultural situations in which they operate. It is the same for employees.

Finally, with our development platform for Near-Shore located in Spain, we can offer competitive bids to clients who do not wish to relocate beyond Europe.

> Doolit - Why do you think your clients trust on you?

Thomas NOEL
- AMARIS has retained his state of mind as an outsider: nobody waiting for us!

Each of our clients trusted us once: the first one! Then, the facts and results talk to our clients...

Efficiency and pragmatism are our watchwords. But to answer your question specifically, I would say that our clients appreciate the fact that, despite rapid and international growth, AMARIS has never lost his "soul", local proximity with colleagues and clients.

For example, if our structure allows us today to respond to major bids across multiple countries, this does not mean that we "despise" the more local projects on which our proximity and empathy is most welcome.
