Creating innovative companies on the French Riviera: two new funding mechanisms

200 company directors involved in helping new entrepreneurs on the French Riviera now have additional financial resources.
Reseau-Entreprendre-PACA.jpg "Réseau Entreprendre PACA" (Enterprise Network of the PACA Region) is an association of experienced business leaders who play the "chaperones" in the context of creation or recovery of firms in the PACA Region. The sponsorship has already given a boost to technology companies, and has now been reinforced by two funding mechanisms.

The first mechanism concerns transmission. The aid is made up of a first loan of a maximum ¤ 90,000 and an additional Regional loan capped at ¤ 150,000. This latter, granted exclusively to young innovative companies, has a ceiling of ¤ 90,000.

Networking and support

Both measures give renewed strength to the individual and collective sponsoring action of Réseau Entreprendre PACA for several years by including entrepreneurs creating or taking over an existing business into the national network of several hundred business leaders.

Significant projects funded, but a lot remains to be done to promote innovative projects

"Réseau Entreprendre PACA" has sponsored some great technology projects including Absysseo (geolocalisation mapping), Ecce Vino (for comparing taste), Kepler Engineering (research consultancy), Simplysim (3D simulation). It is a bit unfortunate, however, that the emphasis was not focused on further financial contribution to strictly innovative projects, so essential to the future of the region and the country.
